Café Rey and green technology More good news for all you green coffee lovers Starting this month of July, all plastic bags used at the Café Rey Factory in San José Costa Rica to pack coffee bags will be made out of Oxo - Biodegradable plastic. Oxo-Biodegradable plastic technology enables this plastic start to degrade in about 2 years, depending on their exposure to UV light and heat. However if store inside it’s likely they remain usable for 5 more years.
Oxo – Biodegradable plastic could help in a big way the war against global warming and pollution due the fact that regular plastic takes over 500 years to disintegrate completely. Oxo - Biodegradable plastic will only takes about 24 months.
